Professional cosmetic teeth whitening can be carried out safely when performed appropriately and when the client is suitable for whitening. White with Envy Boutique uses a hydrogen peroxide-based whitening gel, and suitability is discussed during your consultation.

Some people may experience temporary tooth or gum sensitivity, so individual experiences can vary.

Cosmetic teeth whitening can be provided by trained non-dental practitioners. I am a qualified Cosmetic Teeth Whitening Specialist and am registered with NZCTWA. I do not diagnose or treat dental conditions.

Your teeth and gums should be healthy before whitening. If you have tooth pain, gum disease, untreated dental concerns, or dental work that needs attention, it is best to see your dentist before booking a whitening treatment.

Please avoid using toothpaste within four hours of your whitening appointment. You may gently brush your teeth with your toothbrush and water before arriving.

At the beginning of your appointment, we will discuss the process, your expectations and suitability, complete your consent information, and go through any questions you may have.

For the first 24 hours after whitening, it is recommended that you avoid strongly coloured foods and drinks that are more likely to stain.

A useful rule of thumb is that if something could noticeably stain a white T-shirt, it is best avoided during this period.

You will receive a White Diet aftercare guide at the end of your appointment to take home with you.

Whitening gel is applied to the visible front and side-facing surfaces of the teeth. The back teeth and the surfaces behind your teeth are not treated.

Teeth whitening is suitable for many people, but it is not recommended for everyone.

Whitening is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or if you have active gum disease or dental work requiring attention. For clients under 16, a parent or guardian must contact me before booking, and parental consent is required. If you are unsure about the health of your teeth or gums, please speak with your dentist first.

Whitening results can remain noticeable for many months and, for some clients, may last up to 12 months, although this varies from person to person.

Coffee, tea, red wine, smoking, coloured soft drinks and other staining foods and beverages can gradually contribute to re-staining over time.

Top-up treatments are available within 12 months of your initial Full In-Chair Whitening Treatment to help refresh your result.

Please allow approximately 90 minutes for your initial appointment.

The whitening treatment itself consists of 3 × 15-minute sessions, with fresh whitening gel applied for each session. Your appointment also includes consultation, consent, discussion of expectations, results and personalised aftercare.

A Top-Up Treatment takes approximately 45 minutes, including the in-chair whitening session and time to discuss results and personalised aftercare.

Results vary between individuals, with some clients achieving up to 14 shades brighter.

Your result depends on factors including the type and extent of staining, how long stains have been present, age, genetics, lifestyle and previous whitening.

Heavier staining can sometimes produce a more noticeable visual change than teeth that are already relatively light. Top-Up Treatments may produce a more subtle change because there is less new staining to address.

Before-and-after photographs are taken to show genuine client results. Lighting and photographic conditions can vary between images.

Yes. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 48 hours' notice.

A $40 booking deposit is required to secure direct bookings. If you cancel or request to reschedule within 48 hours of your appointment, the $40 deposit will be forfeited. A new $40 booking deposit will be required to secure a rescheduled appointment.

For treatments that have been prepaid in full, including Afterpay purchases, a $40 late cancellation or rescheduling fee applies if less than 48 hours' notice is given. If you cancel, the $40 fee will be deducted and the remaining prepaid amount refunded through the original payment method. If you reschedule, the prepaid treatment remains valid, but the $40 rescheduling fee must be paid before the new appointment is confirmed.

With at least 48 hours' notice, appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled without the short-notice fee.
